This year I decided not to do the normal resolution! I decided to do a yearly bucket list!! Yea I have a bucket list of things I would love to do sometime in my life, but this is a list of mostly all practical things that I would LOVE to do this year!
One day on a run I was thinking of the past year and how it flew by! A lot happened and we were so busy, but a lot of things I would of loved to of done, never did happen!
I am that type of person that needs to make a list or I forget. So on my run I made a mental list of somethings I would love to do this year or to get done! As soon as I got home I started on my list and felt proud! Because not only is this a list of things I want to get done for Izzy, our family, and myself But it is a list of things I want to do for myself and my family! And the more I think about it the more I think some of these things will help me become a better mom and a better wife, something I know I need to work on! I focus so much on Izzy, that I tend to put Joey last and I know that has to change, but also comes as a challenge to me!
Now this list is of all sorts of things! Some are just things I really want to do, for example: register Izzy on post so we can do some activities like gymnastics and a music class but get the discounted military price! Every cent matters and that is one of my goals is to be better with money and saving! And lets face it saving almost $10 a month can really add up! So this is a start and it was something I wanted to do last year but never did because lets just be honest it is no fun!! But I'm proud to say I can check it off my list, becaue I did it today!!
Now I am not going to say everything on my list because some is personal, but will share some as I complete them! One of my other goals on this bucket list of mine is to blog more and keep up on other blogs! I have really slacked on keeping up on one blog especially and I feel like I have misse so much on her and her families lives! I really hope I can do it too because it is such a great way to record everything and learn about others! And now we have an Ipad which I can do on there and anywhere, so really I have no excuse! I feel like with blogging I have to sit down and write a novel, not sure why I feel like this because I don't! I mean for example, Halloween this year was so much fun with Izzy! I so badly wanted to blog it but never did! But I will, it will be short and to the point and that is perfect for me because we are busy!!
So to make a long story short! I hope to be back and use blogging as a record book of our lives! Because I truly believe that someday Izzy would love to read it! And it is a perfect way to record a special event or just what is happening in our lives that we wouldn't normally put in a baby book or anywhere really!!
Dear Lord, Give me the greatness of heart to see the difference between duty and his love for me. Give me understanding that I may know, when duty calls him he must go. Give me a task to do each day, to fill the time when he's away. And Lord, when he's in a foreign land, keep him safe in your loving hand. And Lord, when duty is in the field, please protect him and be his shield. And Lord, when deployment is so long, please stay with me and keep me strong. Amen.

Everything Happens for a Reason!!
Heads shook with disbelief when we came home with Molly.
Laughter was really the only thing that came out of our families mouths!
Well my mom did say, "So will we ever get an actual grandchild or just grand-dogs?"
Knowing exactly what they were thinking because we were thinking it too!!
What the hell did we just do!!
And truthfully, the day after we sat in our den questioning what we had just done and thought about giving her back or trying to find a good home for her!
But, we loved her instantly and knew there was no way we could let her go!
There was a reason Molly was in Petsmart that day!
There was a reason we saw her and fell in love with
her.
And there was a reason why we adopted her and brought her home to join our family!
The REASON being, IZZY!

Sure she can be a handful, but she is a lab!
It amazes me that someone just let her go!
But at the same time I am so thankful, she truly has been a blessing to our family!!
Molly is a perfect family dog!!

Guard Dogs!
These are our guard dogs!
They sit at the window and watch!
They bark!
And than they go back to watching!
This happens day after day!
Molly especially likes to sit at the window and watch. If the door is open she will lay there watching and snoozing.
I do feel safer because we have them!It does get annoying at times when they bark and you have ABSOLUTELY NO idea why they are barking.
But..........................
I mean seriously I would not want to mess with a house that has 2 big dogs!
I used to think that if we would have an intruder they would just lick them to death.
But my feelings are changing!
At times when they bark their hair stands up, they are serious, like they are saying this is my house and my family, stay away!
Just one of the reasons I love them so much!
We are blessed to have them for so many reasons!!

Moving forward!!
Today we actually got her to move forwards instead of her moving backwards or in circles!! Once she really gets it, she is never going to stop moving!!

Moving down!
So today was kind of a big day in our house. Such a little thing really, but to me it seems huge because Izzy is just getting to be so big!
This picture explains a lot. This morning I had no choice but to finally break down and lower her crib. She is starting to really pull herself up onto things. I kept mentioning it to Joey and my mom that we really need to do it, but I just kept putting it off because it kind of is a big milestone. I feel like she is moving down in the crib but is just growing to fast for my heart to handle.
This morning at 3AM, she woke up talking away and ready to play. She does this quite often lately. She talks, plays, moves around and turns her little safari on. Sometimes we just let her and other times we will go in and reposition her. Well I had gone in once and found her just sitting their playing with her nuk, chatting away. I laid her back down and I went back to bed. After about 15 minutes of her chatting, she is suddenly crying. And it is not her normal whine it was a legitimate cry. I jump out of bed and run to her room and she is trying her hardest to pull herself up and I think she started crying because she got stuck. So I reposition her and the entire time I am pondering if I should just take her back to bed with me because I am not lowering her bed at 345 A.M. but yet I am nervous about leaving her there. Well I end up leaving her in her bed but I was on high alert for any big movement. She was of course fine but this morning I knew their was no more procrastinating. Her bed needed to be lowered. And I did it. And it looks different. But I feel better because I know she is safer and I can relax without worrying.
As I was lowering her bed I remember not that long ago putting it together with her in my belly and now I am having to lower it for her with her playing right there. The time is just moving so fast.
So yeah, not a huge milestone, but kind of a reality check for me. She is not going to stay my baby forever. In my heart yes but not in real time.
