Catch Up

Where did these past 2 months go?  Seriously, I cannot believe we are in April already!

The past 2 months flew by!  We were incredibly busy and on top of that our computer stopped working.  So we finally decided to buy a new one and now I am trying to figure out how to use it!  It is so different from our other one and it frustrates me!  But I think I am finally starting to understand it a little bit more!  And I am so excited because I finally was able to download all of our pictures and look at them!

February started off slow but the second half just flew by!  It all started with celebrating Molly's birthday!  Instead of celebrating Valentines Day we celebrated Molly!  We decided since Izzy is really starting to get into the whole birthday thing to throw Molly a little birthday party!

So when Joey was done with work, the three of us went to the store and got some birthday supplies!  We got balloons, hats, a birthday sign, and cupcakes!  We also went to the pet store and got some more presents for Molly and got both pups these special cupcake treats!  Izzy was so excited!
When we got home we decorated and started our small little party!

Izzy wouldn't keep her hat on long enough for me to get a picture which is why we don't have a picture with her wearing one!  The dogs did a better job than her!

And a birthday party isn't complete unless you sing happy birthday and have candles to blow out!

And of course Izzy had to have her own cupcake!

Izzy loves cupcakes! After that day if you said cupcakes, she would automatically respond Happy Birthday Molly!

Cupcakes now symbolize it is someone's birthday to Izzy!!

It was such a fun night!  I am so glad we decided to do this rather than celebrate Valentine's Day.  Some may think we are crazy for celebrating our dogs birthday's like this, but they are our family!  These dogs have done more for us than they will ever know and we should celebrate them!  So I am glad we did and I think we started a new tradition in the Ross household!

Here is a video of Izzy saying Happy Birthday to Molly!  So precious!

Happy Birthday Molly Girl!

Hard to believe that it is that time of the year again!  It is our sweet Molly girls birthday!  She is turning 3 or at least we think she is!

What a blessing this dog has been to our family!  She fits in perfectly!  She is our sweetie, she is Duke's best friend, and she is Izzy's best friend!  She has also become every ones favorite dog!  Not that Duke isn't loved because he definitely is, but when people see Molly with Izzy, they can't help but not fall in love with her!  She puts up with a lot from her buddy Izzy but takes it!

She is our crazy dog that loves to chase after bubbles and reflections!!

We honestly don't need to buy Izzy any toys, all she needs is her Molly girl!  When you think of having a dog as a kid, you dream of having one just like Molly!  She will be Izzy's best friend for years to come and their bond will only grow stronger!

Happy Birthday Molly!!  Thank you for being the amazing dog you are!!
We are truly blessed to have you in our family!!
We love you so much!!

Pictures!

I love to take pictures!  To me it is the best way to not only capture the moment but to always remember those moments!!  So here are some of my favorite pictures that I have taken this month!

This face says it all!!  Izzy is at the park!

This picture is a constant in my life!  If Izzy had a choice she would live outside!  Which is great except some days you just can't go outside!  But try explaining that to a 20 month old!!

We have started up going to open gyms on Fridays again! And Izzy loved it! She jumped and ran for an hour straight! It was awesome!! I also got a 2 hour nap out of her that afternoon! Double plus for me!!!

Izzy has started to get into dress-up and of course she has to dress up the dogs!  Here is Duke who is not so happy about it!!

Typical evening at our house once Joey is home from work!!
She loves her baby and she is such a good little momma to her most of the time!!

I could of posted a ton more pictures because I have so many and love so many of them!  I am loving my new camera and the pictures I am getting with it!!  So awesome, best purchase we have made in a long time!!

If someone asked me to describe Izzy in one word...it would be hard because there are so many words, but BUSY comes to mind right away! I don't think she is any busier than any other toddler, yes toddler not baby, but she keeps me going all day long! Right now I am typing this while she is finishing up playing in the tub! Here are some fun things I am loving so much about Izzy right now!!

We figure painted for the first time in a long time! Wow what an experience! Turned into body painting!! Pretty sure there was just as much paint on Izzy as the paper! Bath time came early tonight!

Speaking of bath-time, Izzy has always loved it! And a few weeks ago proved it, every time we changed her diaper she would say "bath?" So we heard that quite often! Now when we say time for bath she runs into the bathroom yelling "bubbles" so funny to me!!

She loves to go bye bye! As soon as you tell her it's time to go she instantly says"park? Swing? Slide?" And when we get to the park she gets so excited and will yell "park, park!"

Loves to play ring around the Rosie!! She will play circling around Molly going "Rosie Rosie" and once you start playing it is non-stop Rosie fun...because all you will hear is "again"

Izzy repeats everything, good or bad, everything!! We are really having to be careful.

She is starting to want to play dress up!! Loves stuffed animals and her baby! She will sing rock a bye baby, her version of it is rock rocky and she will sway with her baby!  And she loves to color!  We color multiple times a day!

Izzy also got a new cousin Sophia for Christmas this year!  Best gift ever!!

This age is by fair my favorite so far!! It definitely comes with its challenges but the positives out weigh the negative!! My baby Izzy is no longer a baby, mine yes and always will be, but it is safe to say she is officially a toddler!

New Camera

So we got a new camera and I am in love!  Our old camera was just getting to frustrating and I felt as if we were missing so many pictures of Izzy!

We decided to go with a DSLR and after using it we will never go back to a point and shot digital again!! I have a lot to learn about it but that is the fun part!  And I have the perfect littler person to practice it on!  Here are just 2 of my favorites!

This is a face we have been seeing a lot of lately!!
Isn't she a little young to be rolling her eyes at us??

New Years resolutions!!

This year I decided not to do the normal resolution! I decided to do a yearly bucket list!! Yea I have a bucket list of things I would love to do sometime in my life, but this is a list of mostly all practical things that I would LOVE to do this year!

One day on a run I was thinking of the past year and how it flew by!  A lot happened and we were so busy, but a lot of things I would of loved to of done, never did happen!

I am that type of person that needs to make a list or I forget.  So on my run I made a mental list of somethings I would love to do this year or to get done!  As soon as I got home I started on my list and felt proud!  Because not only is this a list of things I want to get done for Izzy, our family, and myself But it is a list of things I want to do for myself and my family! And the more I think about it the more I think some of these things will help me become a better mom and a better wife, something I know I need to work on!  I focus so much on Izzy, that I tend to put Joey last and I know that has to change, but also comes as a challenge to me!

Now this list is of all sorts of things!  Some are just things I really want to do, for example:  register Izzy on post so we can do some activities like gymnastics and a music class but get the discounted military price!  Every cent matters and that is one of my goals is to be better with money and saving!  And lets face it saving almost $10 a month can really add up!  So this is a start and it was something I wanted to do last year but never did because lets just be honest it is no fun!!  But I'm proud to say I can check it off my list, becaue I did it today!!

Now I am not going to say everything on my list because some is personal, but will share some as I complete them!  One of my other goals on this bucket list of mine is to blog more and keep up on other blogs!  I have really slacked on keeping up on one blog especially and I feel like I have misse so much on her and her families lives!  I really hope I can do it too because it is such a great way to record everything and learn about others!  And now we have an Ipad which I can do on there and anywhere, so really I have no excuse! I feel like with blogging I have to sit down and write a novel, not sure why I feel like this because I don't!  I mean for example, Halloween this year was so much fun with Izzy!  I so badly wanted to blog it but never did!  But I will, it will be short and to the point and that is perfect for me because we are busy!!

So to make a long story short!  I hope to be back and use blogging as a record book of our lives!  Because I truly believe that someday Izzy would love to read it!  And it is a perfect way to record a special event or just what is happening in our lives that we wouldn't normally put in a baby book or anywhere really!!
